It explores key themes such as identity development, ethical decision-making, communication skills, fairness, environmental advocacy, community engagement, and organizing. In today’s rapidly evolving and interconnected world, developing inclusive, informed, and resilient leaders is critical to shaping a more just and sustainable future.
This online course introduces students to the foundations of youth leadership. Through engaging readings, discussions, videos, quizzes, interactive activities, reflection, and community-based projects, we will explore course topics such as historical perspective, identity, sisterhood, girls in the media, leadership, body image, financial literacy, changemakers, and climate change. The course is designed to be accessible to students from all backgrounds and disciplines. You don’t need prior leadership experience; only curiosity, courage, and a willingness to grow.

- Our youth leadership course offers a comprehensive learning experience, equipping participants with essential skills such as communication, decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict resolution, alongside various leadership theories. Beyond these practical competencies, the course also focuses on developing strategic thinking, teaching participants how to cultivate and maintain a positive and inclusive environment, and building crucial self-awareness. Ultimately, these elements empower participants to adapt, grow, and truly thrive as effective and impactful leaders in any setting.
Material Includes
- To participate effectively, you will need the following essential technical equipment: a reliable computer or tablet capable of running the course software, a stable high-speed internet connection to access online resources and live sessions, a functioning webcam for video participation, and headphones or earbuds to ensure clear audio and minimize distractions.
- Additionally, while not strictly required, many students find it highly beneficial to have traditional note-taking supplies such as pens, pencils, a notebook, and a highlighter. Utilizing these materials can significantly aid in retaining information, organizing your thoughts, and reviewing key concepts throughout the course.
Requirements
- To maximize your success in the course, we highly recommend establishing a dedicated study space free from distractions, cultivating strong self-discipline, and developing strong time management skills. These foundational elements will significantly contribute to your ability to focus and absorb the material effectively.

- This course is specifically developed for middle and high school girls who are eager to cultivate and enhance their leadership abilities. Whether their aspirations lie within their school environment, community initiatives, or future professional careers, this program offers valuable tools and guidance to help them succeed.
